19th Century Building - 21st Century Pedagogy

Windeyer Public School is a beautiful building with a proud history of public education since 1859. The historic gold-mining town is located 40km south-west of Mudgee in a tranquil rural hamlet. The school motto Endeavour encapsulates the school's proud history and our current pedagogy:
-
preparing students to be effective and life long learners,
-
equipping students with the new basic skills, literacy, numeracy, information management and the creation of knowledge,
-
understanding and engaging with emerging and converging technologies,
-
focusing on the outcomes of schooling, assessing students learning and communicating achievements; and
-
building a strong parent, student and teacher learning relationship to ensure quality learning outcomes.
Windeyer Public School is a small school with a current enrolment of 7 students. We are very pleased to announce that we will be continuing on the Priority Schools Funding Program (PSFP).
We also receive supplementary funding from the Country Areas Program (CAP) to provide extra classroom teacher time. These programs are extremely valuable as they allow us to provide a shared Infants and Primary classroom running group rotations for Literacy and Numeracy.
We are also a National Partnerships school providing access to additional funding which will be used in a variety of ways to support our students, staff and community.
